Notice on the Reading Activities of “Australian Chinese Community Development Report 2018”

Dear University libraries:

In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 200th anniversary of the Chinese settlement in Australia, the Australian Chinese Workers Associations (ACWA) organized the “Australian Chinese Community Development Report 2018” (Blue Book) and published by Heilongjiang People’s Publishing House in August 2018 (book number: ISBN 978-7) -207-11466-2). the Blue Book has been presented to 2000 libraries in Australia and other countries and regions. In order to better promote the patriotism of the Blue Book, the ACWA Committee decided to unite libraries in various countries by holding reading activities. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

I. Activity time

September 10, 2019 to February 18, 2020.

II. Activity Rules & Procedures

Based on the scenarios, each university library is considered to be eligible attending this activity as long as threre has been at least one participant reading more than three papers (Chapters) in the Blue Book. The eligible participants are also eligible to be awarded.

III. Awards

This event will select outstanding readers, outstanding volunteers, and outstanding organization awards (as a reward for participating in the organization’s activities)

IV. Event Launching Ceremony

A qualified domestic university library will be selected as the first cooperation unit, and the Chinese and foreign media will be invited to hold the launching ceremony.
