The first round Asia Pacific Youth International Photography Contest and Exhibition in 2021 was hosted by Asia Pacific Humanities and received strong support from a wide range of international photography enthusiasts, with a total of 2,945 contributors and nearly 18,000 entries, making it an unprecedented success.
This year we are back again, and the contest is dedicated to creating a world-class platform for youth photography submissions, with the concept of youth, nature, diversity, and innovation, and is open to young photographers from Australia, China, and around the world.
The contest organizing committee is now looking for interns and volunteers from all over Australia
Basic Requirements
1.Love photography, having independent knowledge of photography, and having relevant professional backgrounds are preferred.
2.Australian university students
3.Logical, careful, and responsible, with good execution and collaboration skills.
4.Have a strong interest in photography, pay attention to and support the development of the interests of young photography enthusiasts, and team building.
5.Can work more than 2 days a week preferred.
6.Priority will be given to those who have submitted articles to the organizing committee of the 2021 Asia Pacific Youth International Photography Competition and Touring Exhibition; priority will be given to those who recommend young photographers to submit articles to the 2022 Asia Pacific Youth International Photography Competition and Touring Exhibition.
(Note: Volunteers should ask their recommended authors to note: Name + Photography Competition + Recommender when sending their submission emails, the organizing committee will use this as the assessment criteria.)
Job Responsibilities
New Media Team
a) Responsible for the editing and publishing of the public website of the photography contest
b) Special feature copy editing and planning
c) Online platform publicity activities
Selection team
a) Collect and organize the contest works, contact the contestants and determine the works.
b) Online ballot sorting.
c) Matching with judges and contacting the winning contestants.
Exhibition team
a) Execution of photography exhibition activities and exhibition set-up
b) Set up the exhibition site and print the exhibits
Marketing team
a) Procurement of promotional materials for the event
b) Contact and negotiate with partners and sponsors
Honors and Awards
(1) Receive a certificate of internship from the 2022 Asia Pacific Youth International Photo Contest’s organizing committee will analyze the volunteers’ submissions, select the outstanding individual award, and issue a certificate.
(2) Invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Asia Pacific Youth International Photography Competition and Touring Exhibition based on the feedback of the work content.
(3) Receive a special issue of “Asia-Pacific Humanities Magazine” on the “Asia-Pacific Youth International Photography Competition and Touring Exhibition”.
(4) Receive a place in the Youth Leadership Camp and the Australian Institute of Management and Leadership Public Service Leadership Workshop based on your resume and volunteer work.
(5) Individuals from outstanding organizations may have the opportunity to apply for study and work recommendation letters.
